Signature Photography Workshops in Scotland
Iconic locations. Deep local knowledge. A slower way of seeing.
My Signature Workshops are designed for photographers who want to experience the Scottish landscape at its most evocative. These are carefully crafted, location-specific photography days shaped around the mood, character, and visual story of a place. From the ancient Caledonian pines of Glen Affric to the fleeting beauty of Scotland’s bluebell woodlands, each workshop offers a more personal, immersive, and meaningful way to photograph the landscape.
Available as private one-to-one sessions or small groups of up to 4 people.
A curated collection of special workshops
These workshops exist to showcase a small collection of location-led experiences that sit apart from my standard tuition and guiding. Each one is built around a place with its own character, a season when it is at its best, and an experience that deserves a more focused approach.
Rather than a broad workshop that could happen almost anywhere, these are designed around specific landscapes, short seasonal opportunities, and the kind of day that feels more considered from start to finish.

What makes a Signature Workshop different
A Signature Workshop is built around more than a date in the diary. It is shaped by the qualities that make a place worth photographing in the first place.
That means careful thought goes into the location, the season, the timing, and the overall experience of the day. The aim is not simply to take you somewhere scenic, but to create a workshop that feels well matched to the landscape and to the kind of images you want to make there.
You can expect:
carefully chosen locations
small group sizes
a calm, unhurried pace
personal guidance in the field
time to work with light, composition, and atmosphere
a more considered experience than a one-size-fits-all workshop day
Who these workshops are for
These workshops are for photographers who value a more personal and place-led experience.
They are especially suited to those who enjoy working at a calmer pace, want space to think and observe, and prefer guidance that feels supportive rather than overwhelming. Whether you are looking to strengthen your compositions, photograph a special location at the right time, or simply enjoy a more rewarding day in the landscape, these workshops are designed to give you that space.
They are available as private one-to-one sessions or small groups, making them especially well suited to those who prefer a quieter and more individual experience.

We still shoot. Scotland’s weather often creates the best atmosphere. If conditions are genuinely unsafe or pointless, we’ll reschedule.

A camera with manual controls is ideal. Bring a charged battery, a spare card, and weatherproof layers. A tripod is helpful, especially for Levels 2 and 3.
